Lawcombine was set up in June 1998 as A. Jugran & Co., Advocates, for providing legal & regulatory services relating to financial & technical collaborations incidental to foreign direct investment into India. Lawcombine’s service range now extends to company, commercial & contract laws, negotiations, legal & regulatory due diligence, regulatory compliance, litigation & arbitration.

The firm mostly serves MNCs engaged in business with Indian entities, entering into and or having operations in India as well as reputed Indian companies including some of the emerging Indian MNCs. We cover all metro cities in India through of-counsel relationships for providing legal services relating to defense against real estate, consumer action, employee / labor matters, IPR protection, debt recovery. We have similar relationships in Dubai and Singapore.

Real Estate

Lawcombine offers services in real estate projects in India including legal due diligence, title search, investment structuring for tax efficiency in compliance with law, legal documentation, negotiation, satisfaction of conditions precedent and closing. The firm undertakes a significant amount of legal work across India in the sale – purchase, lease and or leave & license of immovable properties for MNCs. We have worked with builders in NCR and Mumbai regarding Real Estate work i.e. Due Diligence and Documentation and have also worked with JLL, CBRE and Cushman and Wakefield. We regularly appear before RERA and Appellate Authority i.e. Noida/Lucknow and Dehradun.

Regulatory Compliance

Lawcombine provides legal and practical advice on and undertakes preparation, filing and follow up of applications and representations with various regulatory agencies including the Foreign Investment Promotion Board, Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Law, etc.

Long Term Contracts

Lawcombine has vast experience in contractual negotiation and documentation. We have undertaken tender evaluation, negotiation contractual deviations, bid review etc. We have negotiated and documented various long-term supply contracts, equipment leases, credit facilities, vendor finance arrangements etc. We can work as a contract monitor and help companies in following contractual procedures, claim submission norms, dispute notification etc.

Our Team

Mr. Ajay Jugran

Mr. Jugran graduated in law in 1988 and began his career in the same year as Corporate Counsel with a large listed company engaged in export and trading activities. Thereafter, from 1990 to 1993, he worked extensively in litigation and arbitration, while being associated with one of the top Senior Advocates of the Supreme Court of India and later with a leading law firm of New Delhi. In September 1993, he was retained by Arthur Andersen & Co., the then largest of the Big-6 global accounting firms, to work for them and their Oil & Gas, Mining, and infrastructure clients on an exclusive basis. In June 1998, he launched Lawcombine, Advocates (previously known as A. Jugran & Co.)

Vidur Bhatia

Mr. Bhatia graduated in law in 2004 from the University of Oxford, UK. His practice involves general civil litigation and arbitration with a focus on commercial disputes. He previously worked at the Chambers of a Senior Advocate, in the Litigation Team at S&R Associates in Delhi and at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in London. He is qualified as an Advocate in India and as a Solicitor in England and Wales.

Samixa Ghildial Vyas

Mrs. Vyas graduated in law in 2005 and did her LLM from University of London, UK. She started her career from Lawcombine and is now the Firm's affiliate in Singapore serving its clients in / from the SE. Her practice involves Corporate and Commercial Laws. She was previously employed by the Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore Pte. Ltd., Singapore.

Mr. Suveer Dhyani

Mr. Dhyani graduated in law in the year 2009 from ILS Law College, Pune. He practices in Real Estate, Corporate Law and foreign exchange regulations. He has acted for and advised many reputed entities including Fitness First, B/E Aerospace, Aramco, Hanwha and others.

Mr. Akshaya Dhaundiyal

Mr. Dhaundiyal graduated in law in the year 2013 from the Amity University, NOIDA, U.P. He practices in Litigation and Arbitration. He has acted for and advised many reputed entities including Power Machines, TPE, Hanwha and others.

Ramesh Kainthola

Counsel

Mr Kainthola was enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi in the year 1998. He has experience of handling corporate and commercial matters before various courts and tribunals including arbitral tribunals, NCLT and CCI. He has acted for and advised many reputed entities including Kuoni Travel Group, VFS Global, Videocon Group, Embassy of Greece in India.
